Current Micro-courses

Effective leadership starts with understanding yourself. In today's healthcare environment, leaders are expected to navigate complexity, make difficult decisions, and influence outcomes often without direct authority. This introductory module provides a practical foundation for leading with confidence, authenticity, and purpose.

Through reflection, discussion, and real-world healthcare examples, participants will explore the LEADS leadership framework, strengthen self-awareness, and develop strategies for leading effectively under pressure. Whether you are new to leadership or looking to strengthen your leadership practice, this module offers a valuable starting point for your leadership journey.

Canadian healthcare leaders operate within a system facing unprecedented demands. From workforce shortages and growing patient needs to resource constraints and policy pressures, understanding the broader healthcare landscape has never been more important.

This self-paced module explores the realities shaping healthcare delivery today and examines how system challenges impact patient safety, care quality, and leadership decision-making. Learners will gain a deeper understanding of the forces influencing healthcare organizations and develop practical insights for navigating change and uncertainty.

Supporting healthcare workers has become one of the most important responsibilities of healthcare leaders. High workloads, burnout, moral distress, and ongoing staffing challenges continue to affect teams across the sector, influencing both employee well-being and patient outcomes.

This interactive module focuses on creating healthy, resilient workplaces where individuals and teams can thrive. Participants will explore approaches to building psychological safety, supporting engagement, coaching for performance, and fostering workplace cultures that promote retention, well-being, and sustainable high performance.
